Seven was when she
She thought back of two
One she thought was mum
Was not that too

She cried eight times then
Each phase of day
Six were her friends
With whom she would play

But not she went for once
She laid and thought of her
Was Ten when lights went off
Two eyes she had then blur

She thought why not ever
One pair takes her home
So she made for herself
Two small ones of loam

Night grew dark like her
And rained like her eyes
Storm knocked one tree of pair
Just like hand her right

She wished if she was fair
Like her life was not
And had a pair of limbs
One home might have she got

She slept then in hope
Maybe someone will see
She could do all the chores
Not all she could not be

Then maybe next year
She’ll wish a lady this day
A lady who’d be her mum
With whom she would play
